Connecting to a sharepoint list and appending new rows

I am trying to connect to a particular SharePoint list of our team, so we can automatically append new entries. However, i have a very hard time establishing the connection. I am doing this with a manual Python recipe. Can someone help me?

Use the Sharepoint Plugin or move to v13 as it has a new built-in Sharepoint connector.
