How do you validate a SQL recipe using the public API?

This feature is not available in the API. We'll have a look at adding this in a future release.

The reason I ask is that if I create SQL recipes using the public API the job will fail if I don't go manually validate each SQL recipe. Am I missing something? Is there another way?

4 years later, is there a way to do it?

I also wanted to know how the syntax check is done? Did you implement your own SQL parser or use already existing python libraries such as sqlparse, sql-metadata, etc?
