Hi Community,
Is there a way to change the default quoting style for CSV files?
For example from "Excel style" to "Unix style".
Thanks!
Hi @dcarva23jnj , thank you for clarifying. 🙂
Currently there is no way to enforce the "Unix style" on all CSV datasets. When you upload a CSV file, DSS guesses the parameters which fit the file. If the guessed quoting style does not match what you expect, it is still possible to fix it in the "Preview / Format" section of the dataset settings.
I hope this clarifies better this time.
Kind regards,
Alexandre Dumont
Hello,
Yes, it is possible to change the quoting style for the CSV file. Just create a dataset by uploading your CSV files, then open the dataset and go to "Settings", then "Format / Preview".
For more information, please see the dss documentation.
I hope this helps. Have a nice day!

Hi @AlexandreD
Maybe I didn't explain myself properly.
My question is that, if by default, we can change CSV files to be assigned with Quoting Style "Unix style".
Best regards,
