Free Edition registration fails: register-v5 returns 403 (Forbidden)
Hello,
I installed Dataiku DSS Free Edition on Windows 11 with the Windows launcher for a personal learning project. On the license page I select "Free Edition", fill in the form and click NEXT, but I get "Network error - An attempt to communicate with DSS failed."
In the browser developer tools I see:
POST https://my.dataiku.com/saas/api/community/register-v5 net::ERR_FAILED 403 (Forbidden)
What I checked:
- DSS itself runs fine (no errors in backend.log, port 11200 is listening)
- Internet works; https://www.dataiku.com and https://my.dataiku.com open in the browser
- Same result in an incognito window (no extensions) and with the Enterprise Trial option
Is Free Edition registration currently available for this version and for my country (Azerbaijan)? If not, could I receive a Free Edition license file to use with "Do you already have a license file? - Yes"?

Turribeach Dataiku DSS Core Designer, Neuron, Dataiku DSS Adv Designer, Registered, Neuron 2023, Circle Member Posts: 2,726 NeuronDataiku blocks registration of free licenses from certain countries although they have never published the list of countries. I am guessing yours it’s one of them as the error implies that. Try locating yourself in another country.

Thanks a lot for the quick explanation, that makes sense. I don't want to work around the restriction, so I'll continue my project without DSS for now. If someone from Dataiku can confirm whether Azerbaijan is affected, or whether a Free Edition licence can be issued another way, I'd be glad to hear it.
