How to use flask.rander_template in WebApp

I have a webApp which needs to launch a long running process in flask backend. Mean while I don't want the front end user to wait. I tried flask.rander_template, but it seems does not work for DataIKu. I am not able to find out the location of template and the html file for my webApp
