How to best clone a DSS project?

Exporting and re-importing into a new project leads to very strange behaviour, with analysis being shared, dataset not really being copied ...

How can I really create a completely new clone of a DSS project, with no analysis , dataset, ... or whatever being shared between both?

A few things to keep in mind here:

    • If your connection does not add the project key to dataset names, copying a project into the same instance using the same connection will point to the same tables in the database.
    • Analyses are part of a project, so they get copied. You'll have to delete them manually
    • You will have to remove the sharing of shared objects

Starting in Dataiku 5.1, you can duplicate a project from within the ui.
