Hello.

I created a "run scenario" button on a dashboard. Will users with a "Reader" license be able to click on it (which means they will get some form of "write" permissions) ? And these users only need to be granted a "Read Dashboard" group permission at the project level right ?

Thank you in advance

    Hi, @mpourbaix
! Can you provide any further details on the thread to assist users in helping you find a solution (insert examples like DSS version etc.) Also, can you let us know if you’ve tried any fixes already? This should lead to a quicker response from the community.

    Hi @mpourbaix

When creating a scenario, you can define the user that will be used to run the scenario in the "Run As" field.

Whoever clicks on the run scenario button in a dashboard (even if he has read-only permissions on the project) will launch the scenario as the "Run As" user. If this user has a write permission on the project, then the scenario will be able to write in the project.

On a side note, in order to design and package your project as a reusable application, I advise you to have a look at Dataiku Applications !

    Cheers
