Then only possible in code recipes or sql?

    VLOOKUP() is how Excel works. You shouldn't try to apply solutions from other tools in a new tool. Can you please let us know what your actual requirement is? Where is the data? What are you trying to achieve? Most likely this can be done with a Join recipe but hard to say since you have not given us much information.
