Date storage type won't export to Tableau Server

I have a dataset with a lot of date fields that I would like to export to tableau server using the Tableau Hyper format plugin.

When the dates have the default format yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ssZ Dataiku recognizes them as date types, but the export to tableau server fails (screenshot provided).

When I format them to yyyy-mm-dd, they are no longer 'parsed' and cannot be stored as date type fields in dataiku.  So they export to tableau as string field types and I do not have the ability to change the datatype in tableau when exporting from dataiku.

Is there any way to export date type fields to tableau server?

Can you please confirm you DSS version and version of the plugin you are using?
Are you using the legacy plugin or the https://www.dataiku.com/product/plugins/tableau-hyper-export/ 

This issue was likely fixed in a more recent version of the plugin :

Thank you - my DSS Version is 11.1.1 and my plugin is 0.1.5.  I'm using the https://www.dataiku.com/product/plugins/tableau-hyper-export/ plugin.  I'll try updating, thank you!
