Is it possible to see the SQL code created behind a prepare statement?

by definition of a prepared statement, there is no "code" corresponding to the statement with the values replaced in the original statement.
Which statement in DSS are you looking at?

actually, if you're talking about the statement of a Prepare recipe for which you selected the SQL engine, then you can see it with the 'View query' button at the bottom left
