Can't register free edition

I’m having trouble registering a free edition account for Dataiku 13. Every time I try, I’m redirected to my.dataiku.com, where I can’t proceed because I don’t have an existing account. It feels like a logical loop—I’m required to have an account in order to create one.

I am not really sure exactly what you are doing. This is the experience I get when I install the Dataiku Free edition on a Mac:

1. Once the installation finishes (and assuming it went fine) Dataiku starts and a new browser window is opened pointing to http://localhost:11200/ which is my local DSS instance
   
   
2. I select no. Then I get this screen:
   
   
3. I fill in all the details (no account needed) and click on Next. A new license is automatically issued behind the scenes and placed under DSS_HOME/config/license.json. I get this screen:
   
   
4. And I can stsrt using DSS

Is this not your experience? If not please post all the steps you see/follow. Also please confirm DSS can connect to the internet as that's where it can issue new licenses.

After I complete the form on the second step, I receive an error, as shown in the attached screenshot. I’m unable to proceed past this point.

After further investigation, it seems that dataiku tries to connect to my.dataiku.com, and fails to create free account due to lack of permissions

Under what OS are you installing DSS? What version of the installer are you using?

I tried to create an account on both macOS and Linux, but I got the same result
