How to add Header, Footer, Subtotals in Excel File

I need to create multiple Excel datasets with formatting options such as headers, footers, subtotals, etc., from the DSS flow and then send an email with Excel attachment to users. Could you please let me know how to add styling to the Excel exported datasets?

Thanks,

Venkat

Dataiku doesn't have any built-in functionality for this outside of the Dataset Export to Excel and Mail Reporters. For more custom Excel files you will need to look at what the different Python packages offer.

Using Visual Recipes, the only way I know to do that is to create the various datasets. Then use multi-sheet excel plug in to merge the various datasets into one excel file.

So if you need subtotals, you may have to use a pivot or group recipe that has the output dataset.

If you want to take a dataset then perform additional post-processing then I don't know of a way to do that using visual recipes. There might be a way using Python, R or custom SQL.
