Getting Files in HDFS for use in a RMarkdown report.

I have a recipe that generates to custom files via Spark. These files are stored in a HDFS path. I want to create a RMarkdown report that uses the data generated from those files, but the problem I have is that the RMarkdown runs on the DSS Engine and I haven't find a way to use or transfer those files from HDFS so I can consume them. Files are mostly png images with specific statistics content.

Any ideas what I can do?
