I have noticed in the documentation on custom UIs that occasionally Angular is mentioned, and occasionally AngularJS. Is there a recommended or required version of Angular/AngularJS for building these custom UIs?

It’s about react, but it’s just a detail here, and should still apply, in your case, to Angular/Angular JS.
