Equivalent to Tableau's calculated field

My dataset has columns A, B and C.



I want to create a new "calculated column": D = (A+B)*C



I am aware of formulas and I was able to create a new column in schema settings, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to make the column accept a formula.

Once I created the new column, I clicked on the column header and in the drop down selected "Process with formula"
