Clear Data Macro

I am looking for a macro that can clear out large "intermediate" datasets created as part of complex projects. I see the "Delete datasets by tag" macro that comes packaged with DSS but this does not seem to meet my needs as I just want to clear the data but keep the datasets.

Is there any available way to do this? We can obviously write a custom macro, Python or SQL but wondering if there's something out of the box that we're missing.
