Hello all, I posted a question in the community and Maureen responded, but then left me with more questions as I was confused, but she has not been able to respond again and I was hoping someone here could elaborate for me. Here is my question: Thank you @MaureenP. I appreciate your explanation. I have not heard of the Log of the Odds ratio before. I presume that this number is similar, in that a variables log of the Odds Ration if positive, is the % of the increase in the likelihood of 1 or True and a negative is the % decrease in the likelihood of 1 or True. In the attached example, does it read that there is a 60% increased likelihood in retention for that variable and a 30% decreased likelihood in retention for the next variable. Here is the link to the my reply to her https://community.dataiku.com/t5/Using-Dataiku-DSS/Logistic-regression-output/m-p/12756#M5658 Thank you so much for any help. I am still learning the differences between Dataiku and SPSS/Excel.

Thanks to all of you who joined us for yesterday's User Group event! @tgb417 and @Jean-Yves discussed the basics of Uplift Modeling in Dataiku DSS.
Here are the recording and slides for those of you who weren't able to attend the event:

All, The next NYC Dataiku User Group meetup will be held online on January 12th, 2021 at 11:00 am EST. As we enter the new year we would like to invite each of you (whether you are in NYC or not) to join us for a little bit of online community networking, and an interesting presentation about Uplift Modeling. In the work that I do with membership and subscriber programs, the idea of churn can be problematic. Particularly, knowing if something we are doing, to prevent churn, is actually effective. @Jean-Yves will introduce us to the basics of Uplift Modeling. He will share a bit about the requirements of this approach, the types of models available (with a focus on S-learners) and the type of metrics used to evaluate the performance of such models. For more details check out this online event page. Please use the RSVP link to register. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

I would like to know your preferences for data preparation for molding. Do you bring in a dataset and change all categorical to encoding to analyze and model, or do you leave the data set as is and let DSS make the changes? Are there specific use cases where one is better than the other? Thank you for your responses. 😁 -Christy
