How to read an HDFS path/folder from a Dataiku Scenario running on the Automation node?

I have a Dataiku DSS project running on the Automation node (not Designer node). Inside a Python step of a Scenario in designer node, I need to read a file/folder that resides on HDFS (not a Dataiku-managed dataset). How can read it inside scenario?
