I want to adapt OpenVPN's functionality to the API

Do you have a request to extend OpenVPN functionality to APIs, rather than just DBs and storage with connectors?
We would like to use OpenVPN to connect via API from an application operating in a closed NW environment, but the current functionality does not allow us to connect.
If you have the same request, we would be very grateful if you would agree with us.

While I am not trying to diminish the merits for your idea it does sound to me that if you are in a closed network environment you will be much better to install the enterprise version of Dataiku which can run on-prem or on cloud datacenters. That will allow you to be in full control of your Dataiku installation and have full connectivity to your internal systems without having to deal with VPNs.

    Thank you for your comment.
We are operating with Dataiku Cloud instead of Stacks and submitted this request to connect data from a closed application as we move forward with further analysis.
You are correct, Stacks allows us to connect in a closed environment, but the migration is expensive and we are wondering if this could be extended as a feature.

Yeah certainly agree that adding this functionality to the Cloud offfering would be better but I think in this case you are starting to reach the point where this feature would be too complex to implement / is too advanced for the Cloud offering so it might make more sense to move to Stacks. This is my personal opinion which may not match what Dataiku thinks but again it does seem like a feature not suitable for their Cloud offering. Certainly the move won't be trivial but I think as you grow your Dataiku usage it will be paid off as you will have much more control on what you can do in your instance and the fetures you can use. Obviously moving to Stacks is not just a one off cost as it will require continuous investment to self-manage the platform. Ultimately this is something you need to keep analising yourself to understand whether the trade offs of the Dataiku offering you are using are still valid. You should also look at the medium to long term outcomes as well as you may well find that you will need more Stacks capabilities which will precipate your move. Your Dataiku CSM should be able to provide you with information of the different capabilities of the Dataiku offerings for comparison.
