Snowflake No Active Warehouse error fixed by partitioning
We received an error when attempting to connect to a Snowflake table that essentially said that there was no active warehouse selected in the current session. This was remedied by selecting "Activate Partitioning" in the dataset settings. Can you please explain why that would fix it?

Hi @ChrisGolder
,
That's strange, as usually this issue indicates that a warehouse is not configured on the Snowflake connection. If you would like us to take a look, please attach a job diagnostic of the failed job, and we can investigate. Ideally, if you can pass along a job diagnostic of the successful job as well, we can identify any differences between the two runs.
Thanks!

Because there was no job, there are no diagnostics. It was just creating a new dataset. I do believe it's a warehouse issue since the users don't have access to the default warehouse for that connection. I still don't understand why partitioning worked though.

Hi @ChrisGolder

Indeed, that is odd. If this ever re-occurs, please pass along a screenshot of the issue as well!
Thanks,
