Downgrade version dataiku

Hi Guys,

I have a question. Is it possible to perform a version downgrade in Dataiku?
For example from version 11.3.1 to 11.2? Or from another version, has anyone done it?

Hi,

Downgrades are not supported. If you want to roll back, you should do so from the backup done prior to the upgrade.
Can you elaborate on the reason you need to downgrade?

Hi,

Because I updated the test environment and in case it generates an error in version 11.3, I wanted to know if I could downgrade it to the previous version 11.2 without the need to apply a restore.

Hi Guys,

If I backup the datadir I could run the following steps on the same machine:
Backup 11.3
Uninstall 11.3
Restore backup
Upgrade with 11.2 software. step to 'reattach'

I would first suggest you raise a support ticket https://doc.dataiku.com/dss/latest/troubleshooting/obtaining-support.html attach the instance diagnostics and job if a particular job is affected and we can advise further.

The restore steps would be what you describe
restore the datadir and possible external runtime database ( if you use external one)
re-run the 11.x installer with -u flag and then perform all post upgrade tasks again.
