Is there a way to pre filter a data set before the data is returned? I dont want to pull 10,000 rows of random data on a table only Company xyz and filter it after its pulled?

You can filter from the Sample settings under Filtering. Where you have several options. SO if you are using an SQL dataset this will filter directly in the SQL query sent e.g SELECT * from WHERE ...
