Hi, Dataiku community,
Can we rename any dataset somewhere in the middle of the flow if I were to?
I don't see any options for such. Is it possible or not?
Hi @PANKAJ
Is it possible, however not recommended.
With the dataset open, you have to go to the 'Settings' Tab, and then 'Advanced'. At the bottom you'll se the section "Danger Zone" and the option you are looking for:
But is dangerous because it can create unwanted problems when running the flow.
If you really need to change the name, I could recommend the steps shown in the next screencast:
Hope this helps!

Thank You so much @Ignacio_Toledo
.
I shall try to avoid doing this but can be very useful in the rarest cases.
Thanks @Ignacio_Toledo
! @PANKAJ
another option could be to apply Tags.
Tags in DSS help you organize your work. You can apply tags to categorize a wide range of objects in DSS such as projects, datasets, models, notebooks, wiki articles.
A tag can be either a freely entered text (project tags) or the value of a category (instance-wide tags).
Here are some resources:
I hope this helps as well!
Hi @Sampan
This is now natively supported as of Dataiku version 11.2!
https://doc.dataiku.com/dss/latest/release_notes/11.html#rename-datasets
Absolutely! so much easier you can select the dataset and then, in the right side menu, you have the option to "rename" the dataset.
