How to download files from DSS with no trailing timestamp?

Hi, I am trying to download a file from DSS environment as CSV. But the date columns are not getting populated. When I tried to upload it in tableau server date column got saved with timestamp. I want to save date as date and not timestamp. Kindly suggest a method to get a csv file with date populated as date?
