Natural language processing has been extensively used in retail and social media sectors. However, its utilization is largely limited in the Oil and Gas upstream sector due to the complexity in the data as well as domain specific language that was never easily captured into existing language models.
For the next Texas User Group event, Sampath Reddy (Analytics Product Champion, Schlumberger) will highlight some of the interesting use cases of NLP in the subsurface domain of the Upstream and the value it brings to the overall workflow.
